Manoharbhai Patel Military School is an English Medium School established and managed by Gondia

Education Society, Gondia. It is recognized by Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The GES and the school committee promises to appropriate the best devoted and dedicated Teaching and Non – Teaching staff. The best human resource is being pooled in our intellectual capital.

Military Training 

The school has been recognized as a special school for Military Training by the Dept. of Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai. Military Training is compulsory for all the students. The following subject/Activities are included under Military Training:
Squad Drill – Weapon Training – Field Craft – Battle Craft –
Map Reading – Shooting (0.22 Rifle 8 Airgun) – Horse Riding – Self Defence Judo Karate – Yoga – Planning Exercise – Group Discussion

– Public Speaking – Adventure training/ Courses.
BASICS OF BEING A SOLIDER IS BEING TAUGHT TO CADETS SO THAT THEY MATURE AND GET DESTINED FOR HALLMARKS OF LEADERSHIP.
Drill ingrain discipline and spontaneous response to orders.
Map reading helps in navigation and teaches cardinal directions.
Field craft and obstacle course give courage to overcome all hurdles and becoming invincible.
Outdoor activities clubbed with basic military operations gives them an insight on planning and execution of small scale operations.
Horse riding, weapon training, firing and swimming has been included as compulsory capsule for all cadets.

Company System

The companies are the intrinsic units of the schools but each company has its own motto and colour which gives each one of them a separate identity and company spirit. The cadets are distributed equally in all companies. The school is divided into two Battalions namely Shakti Battalion and Janbaaz Battalion. Each Battalion has two companies. In total we have four companies. Each company has company commander and Assistant company commanders. Underneath we have Academic under officer (AUO who represents all the cadets of Military school.

Passing out Parade

Passing out parade is the act of leaving a Military school after successful finishing the course. The passing out parade is the most spectacular event in the series of the end of term events at MMS. The cadets displays drill movement synchronized with the accompanying band.
